Madrid was chosen as the capital in 1561, which probably explains why it is full of interesting places to photograph: Habsburg Madrid and the Bourbon Madrid, include the Royal Palace of Madrid; the Royal Theatre with its restored 1850 Opera House and Almudena Cathedral. There are many places in the center as the Palace of Communications, current City Hall of Madrid and Atocha Station (1892) in a wrought iron style.
We will live the daily Madrid's life style, enjoy beautiful locations and amazing food.

Our tour begins at 11 AM on the first day


DAY 1: from Sol to El Retiro

During this day we will visit the city center enjoying its monumental buildings from Renaissance, Baroque, Neoclassicism, Modernism to the latest architectural styles. This tour is very special for capturing the daily Madrid's life while admiring the architectural and cultural magnificence of Madrid.

We will find many architectural details to shoot and visit the city looking its many forms, so walking through the current City Hall of Madrid, which is the Communications Palace, at the Cibeles square.

Enjoy with us the atmosphere that emanates from this great city and capture it by taking streetphotography and playing with the spatial and formal features that offers us the Avenues along this route. We will bring you our Know-How. We are specialist in photo coaching, making it simple and fun.


DAY 2: Gran Vía, from Cibeles to The Debod Temple

We will start at Cibeles Square where sits the intersection of Alcalá Street, Castellana Avenue, Recoletos Avenue, Prado Avenue around the fountain Cibeles which is as one of Madrid’s most important symbols. as well as the meeting place for celebrations of victories by Real Madrid Football Club.

At the end of Alcalá St. begins Gran Via which was built 100 years ago. The street is known as the Spanish Broadway that never sleeps. This a quite long street, full of beautiful museums, hotels, theaters, cinemas, restaurants, shops, etc, that offers us the first skyscrapers of the city.

We will involve ourselves in the urban daily life photographing our surroundings while we play with the light, colors, and patterns in order to show our bit of the city, seen by our eyes. You will acquire your own photographic style.

At the end of Gran Vía, the Spain Square that is a monument to Spanish novelist, poet and playwright Miguel de Cervantes where you will find the statues of Don Quijote and Sancho. It is a peaceful little oasis in the heard of Madrid.

We will end at the Debod Temple, an Egyptian temple in the center of Madrid, where we can make Fine Art Photography.


DAY 3: Madrid de los Austrias

Habsburg Madrid and the Bourbon Madrid. The places take us back to the time to the Spain’s Golden Time. So we will have the opportunity to immerse ourselves with the culture capturing the daily Madrid's life under numerous popular homes of the XVII and XVIII centuries. The best places for streetphotography.

Just a few walk from Puerta del Sol is located Plaza Mayor. It is symmetrical rectangular square features a uniform architecture very similar to the contemporary Place des Vosges in Paris. This is an opened space was thought as a social, civic area for the Madrileños that has played a variety of festivities throughout history.

We will drive into some narrow streets at Puerta del Sol and show you the glimpse of Madrileño's lifestyle through your camera lens and we will end at the Cathedral de la Almudena and the Royal Palace, where we can make Fine Art Photography, enjoy the sunset and the skyline of Madrid.


DAY 4: Paseo del Prado and Paseo de Recoletos

The Paseo del Prado is the oldest historical urban area of Madrid and one of the main boulevards. It forms the southern end of the city's central axis, which continues to the north of Cibeles as the Paseo de Recoletos, and further north as the Paseo de la Castellana.

Paseo del Prado Boulevard offers us a nice walk that includes monuments, museums, churches, fountains and buildings that are of historical and artistic interest, erected in the eighteenth century. We will begin our walk at Atocha Station a unique rail station of iron and glass architecture of the late nineteenth century. We will enjoy our surroundings passing to the Reina Sofia Museum, Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, Prado Museum, Royal Botanical Garden, Saint Jerome Royal Church, etc.

We will drive us through another past and present landmark, Neptune Fountain. This one is place where fans of Atlético Madrid football club gather to celebrate its victories.

Walking north again the Paseo del Prado becomes the Paseo de Recoletos where we will pass a classic and pricey Madrid cafes with outdoor seating like the renowned Café Gijón where the Spanish authors of the "generación de '98" and the "generación de '27" used to meet here for intellectual roundtables named "tertulias”.

At the end of the Paseo de Recoletos we will find the Columbus Square with the enormous Spanish flag flapping in the wind and neo-gothic monument to Christopher Columbus.


DAY 5: Paseo de La Castellana

Castellana Avenue is the continuation of Prado-Recoletos axis, which starts at Columbus Square and passes through the Nuevos Ministerios, Lima Square, Cuzco Square and Castilla square.

It was created in the mid 19th century and was an avenue of luxurious palaces and residences accommodating the bourgeois elites and aristocracy. During the second half of the 20th century, many new constructions were erected. Walking along this avenue we will see many business, banking and financial buildings coexisting alongside old mansions. So we have the oportunity for taking fotos of the AZCA that it has currently become one of the capital's financial centers. The contrasts in this Avenue of old and new, brick and glass, rough and refined, offer photographers — amateur or professional — a plethora of opportunities for dynamic compositions.

Indeed, the emblematic stadium of the Real Madrid team is situated on La Castellana Avenue.

At the end we will find the Puerta de Europa is the northernmost point of entry to the city and a symbol of Madrid's modernity. It is made up of two towers, commonly called the KIO Towers, that lean towards each other at a 15° angle over the Plaza de Castilla. 


DAY 6: End Day

We will move around Madrid by public transport to move us easily to the farthest points of the city. We will move to southeast of the city for taking a Skyline pictures of Madrid. It is always so enthralling to enjoy the varying heights of buildings and colors capturing the urban splendor of the Madrid skyline.

We’ll cross over the Manzanares River to capture some beautiful photos of Almudena Cathedral. We will visit the Four Towers Business Area tallest skyscrapers in Madrid and Spain, where the skyscrapers and its surroundings are a fantastic playground for any photographer.
